Iconic stoner band The Bennies to play at the Australian Open

Melbourne’s favourite party purveyors The Bennies – also big stoners whose tracks include ‘Let’s Go Get Stoned’ and ‘Acid On My Brain’ – will take to the stage alongside iconic rock act The Living End as part of the 2017 Australian Open… that’s right, Grand Slam tennis.

Whether or not they will be censored is unclear, despite speculation from fans on social media.

Both bands join a stellar lineup of Aussie talent playing The Open Sessions, including Daryl Braithwaite (yep, ‘The Horses’), Peking Duk, DMA’S, Temper TrapBirds Of Tokyo, Tkay MaidzaMissy Higgins, as well as US act Jimmy Eat World.

The Bennies are on the road with The Living End all through March, so this is looking like a good way to kick things off into 2017.
