Your 4/20 watching sorted: New homegrown webseries Growing Pains launches

Two best mates are forced to start growing cannabis in a small suburban house.

There are few better ways to celebrate stoner Christmas (aka 420) than getting super bent and watching some stellar locally created content. Growing Pains is a highly anticipated seven-part webseries from Qld filmmaker Grant Bell, with the first ep dropping on April 20.

Growing Pains follows the story of two best mates – Clive and Moe – who are forced to start growing cannabis in a small suburban house in order to appease a cold-blooded local crim.

The series – starring Beau Jones and Daniel Thone, alongside a local cast of up-and-comers – is being sponsored by our good mates from Magical Butter and Ballin’ On A Budget.

All seven eps are being launched on 4/20 at Coolangatta Event Cinemas on the Gold Coast (and as we all know, after the show it’s the after party). We’re told tickets are almost sold out – but for those that don’t make it, you’ll still be able to watch the show online, with episodes released weekly.

Tickets are $10 and you can pay here. Once the event is sold out, the link will be turned off.

Check out the trailer below, watch the series at producer Foath TV’s YouTube channel, or come back and watch it here tomorrow!

Happy 420!
