Ricardo Baca, editor-in-chief of The Denver Post’s marijuana title The Cannabist, has announced he is standing down to pursue other interests.
Baca – who has a background in music and entertainment journalism and features in documentary Rolling Papers (now streaming on Netflix in Oz) – stepped up to the role in late 2013.
“I want to ensure that The Cannabist is on track to grow,” Baca said in a statement published by The Cannabist.
“As we’ve grown and as others have joined us in the pursuit of legitimate fact-based journalism on marijuana, legalisation and beyond, we’ve proved the need for such an outlet.
“While I’m moving on, my colleagues at The Cannabist are doubling down on this very important work … I certainly cannot wait to see where 2017 takes all of us.”
