California legalises weed so they can now at least get stoned and forget about Trump

California has been internationally renowned for its lax AF medical cannabis program

Amid the clusterfuck that was the US Presidential election, one other vote was going down in the US of A. This one was over the legalisation of recreational cannabis in America’s most populated state – California.

The approval of Proposition 64 means that by January 2018 (though hopefully sooner), the state of Cali will be forced to issue licences for recreational sellers.

In the meantime, adults can theoretically possess and grow dope, they just don’t have anywhere to legally purchase it.

California has been internationally renowned for its lax as fuck medical cannabis program, which currently has almost 800,000 ‘patients’ legally smoking dope already.

Although it may seem like all Californians are stoners and would be stoked, some aren’t.

“We are, of course, disappointed that the self-serving moneyed interests behind this marijuana business plan prevailed at the cost of public health, safety, and the wellbeing of our communities,” Chief Ken Corney, president of the California Police Chiefs Association, told the LA Times.

Maybe he’s just pissed off that half the cops will likely lose their jobs now, and will be unable to shoot poor black kids with small amounts of pot.
