The Free Cannabis NSW Facebook Page and this weekend’s rescheduled 420 Picnic have been removed from Facebook.
It is unclear what sparked the pages’ removal, though the event’s organisers believe it was done in response to a complaint or complaints.
Free Cannabis NSW’s PR agency, PR 4 The People, released the following statement:
“In the latest development in our battle with NSW Police and Facebook, it seems like another ‘complaint’ has forced not only our cannabis picnic event page down but also the page of our organisation Free Cannabis NSW this time…
What a great democracy we have here in NSW under #CasinoMike.
We thought Facebook was all about letting the small person stand up to the government?
That was what they were promoting with that Arab Spring bullshit, wasn’t it?”
The Free Cannabis NSW picnic is still set to go down this Sunday June 12 at Victoria Park next to Sydney Uni. Check us out there, we’ll be near the delicious food from the guys at D’Munchies.
