Meanwhile, punters have the chance to win one double pass

The good folk at the Nimbin Roots Festival have expanded the event in 2017, adding an extra day and two new stages.

More than 50 local and international acts will weave their magic in Australia’s counterculture capital this September 15-17 – including the politically-charged Kahl Wallis and ARIA-nominated Paul Greene.

Meanwhile, punters have the chance to win one double pass – including entry, camping and two t-shirts.

To enter, go to nrfest.com and tell the organisers in 100 words or less how you ‘connect with your roots’.

Audiences will also be treated to the gospel-inspired songs of love, loss and redemption from US duo The War And Treaty.

“I believe that people want to hear music from artists who mean it, and that’s what you’re going to get from these amazing musicians,” said festival co-founder Louise Bradley.

“We’ve added an extra day to the festival and two new stages to fit in all the incredible music. I’m so excited about every single act performing.”
