Our favourite stoner comedians

Feel like having a laugh? Give these comedians a go

c: Seth Rogen's Facebook page

There’s bacon and eggs, and then there’s smoking weed and comedy. They’re two peas in a pod. So when you’re stoned, sometimes there’s nothing better than watching your favourite comedians. They have such interesting perspectives and they frame issues in a brilliantly, digestible way. Since things are generally funnier when stoned, it’s not surprise that a good handful of these comedians indulge in the devil’s lettuce too. So without further ado, here are our favourite stoner comedians.

Dave Chappelle

Of course Dave Chappelle is first on the list. Have you not heard this man preach? Hands-down the funniest guy on the planet and he too loves a choof. Best known for his stand-up, Chappelle is also a screenwriter, producer and actor. He co-wrote the hysterical film Half Baked in 1998 and played the lead role. He actually visited down under recently to do a couple of shows. If you missed it, no fear – the internet is here. Check his stand-up bit. We have no doubt he’ll get you where it hurts.

Kat Williams

“Everybody know I like weed, everybody know I think it’s fantastic.” Mr Williams is up next on the list because he’s not just funny AF, he also delivers a lot of weed-related content. He’s all about living life to the full, regardless that it seems to get him in a fair amount of trouble. So even if he’s probably not the best person to represent stoners, we love his bits regardless. Watch him go all guns-blazing in this clip. We’re sure it’ll provide you with some stiches.

Seth Rogen

Seth doesn’t do a lot of stand-up any more. Nevertheless he has got to be one of the most iconic stoner comedians there is. After launching his career with Freaks and Geeks, Rogen has graced us with his performance in The 40-Year-Old-Virgin, Knocked Up and Funny People with Judd Apatow directing. Rogen also co-wrote and gifted us with Superbad, Pineapple Express and most recently, The Interview. He’s so good at depicting the most common issues with stoners. “What do you mean the weed’s all gone?” You can check out his upcoming film which he also co-wrote, your worst nightmare: Sausage Party.

Joe Rogan

Former host of Fear Factor, current MMA presenter and stand-up comedian, Joe Rogan is last on our list. He has been getting funnier and funnier as the years go on and he’s openly admitted to smoking more and more weed too. He’s also got a mad YouTube podcast called The Joe Rogan Experience in which weed is a common topic. When he’s not being straight hilarious, Rogan also provides insightful commentaries on a wide range of political and social issues with his own unique perspective. Apologies to all the vegans… or not, this clip is just brilliant.
